Dark Side Fetish Primer
For those who don't already know. This post gives a good summary. I don't agree with everything here, but most of it is true. Here is the important graph:
When the smoking fetishist refers to the dark side what he means is that he revels in the inevitable damage a woman enslaved to a nicotine addiction will suffer in time. They treasure sexy women who smoke and they speak of positioning themselves in the smoker’s life so they can continue to encourage them to smoke and watch the inevitable damage the addiction will do. Voyeuristically, he watches as over the years she pays the price for being such a bad girl, so strong, so sexy, and so desirable when she smoked her cigarettes. Her addiction eventually destroys her. For some men they will be there to the very end... for others they will stay through the good times but take an early leave before the final curtain draws closed.

The hospital clerk and her cigs
Look at this video from the 56 mark to about a 1:30. A hospital clerk talks about her smoking habit and what it has done to her. I love her deep voice & the little cough she lets out.

An Abundance of COPD
According to this UNMC Today story there's a lot of folks with COPD nowadays.
The epidemic of cigarette smoking that began after World War II is taking a toll in the United States and in Europe in the form of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD is the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S., and by 2020, is estimated to become the third-leading cause of death, said Stephen Rennard, M.D., Larson Professor of Medicine at UNMC.So exactly what are the signs of this epidimic?
...smoker's cough may be the first sign of COPD, although it may take 30 or 40 years for some people to lose enough lung function to cause enough symptoms to seek a diagnosis. Dr. Rennard recommends all smokers get a lung function test that measures how much air a patient can blow out of their lungs. Here at Dark Side, we consider the signs of smoking a badge of honor, however if you don't like the coughing & losing your breath, there is help. Doctors suggest you seek treatment whether you chose to give up smoking or not. Like this woman:
"Most people accept the smoker's cough as being normal but it's not. Many people may believe the shortness of breath they get, the cough they have or their sputum production is just part of aging, but in fact, those are signs of disease," Dr. Rennard said. "People shouldn't accept those symptoms."

Youtube Smokers
This guy is my favorite cougher on the web. He's really dedicated to the art of smoking & I love him for it.
Sick women still smoke
I appreciate a woman who is so dedicated to smoking that she'll do it when she's sick. More people should be like this.
